Sandblast new metal to help it look old
Steel planters and other structures and be sandblasted to remove mill scale and other contaminants so the steel will rust evenly – for “rustic” finish.
Sandblasting to a white finish prepares it for a bluing or a blackening finish.
A clear finish can also be applied for a brighter satiny look.
